Pearl Jam Concert Review (10/6/09)

Pearl Jam – 10/6/09

Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City
Opening Band: Ben Harper & the Relentless 7

Holy hell… very solid show. Had 10club tickets*, so we were in the 12th row – dead center. It was my 4th time seeing the band, and have not been disappointed once.

(*The 10club is PJ’s fan club. Members are able to bid on special tickets and receive various items (Christmas single on vinyl, etc.) throughout the year. Been a member for 10+ years now…)

Tonight, Pearl Jam played a nice mix of new/Backspacer stuff and “classics”. By far the coolest part of the night was during the 2nd encore and out walks Chris Cornell to sing “Hunger Strike”… and they ended the show with “Alive”, including a guitar solo by none other than Jerry Cantrell.

Such a great band to see live…
